Nintendo
Wii (pronounced 'we') is Nintendo's home video game
console that represents a radical step into a new era of
entertainment with Wii, Nintendo changes the way the
consumers play by aiming to maximise the fun and
minimise the fuss.
The Wii console aims to make the consumer feel less like
a player and more like they are in the game. With Wii's
unique Wii Remote controller, Nintendo puts you in the
middle of the action. Forget about pushing a button to
start a golf backswing. Wii lets you swing the club!
Nintendo have been constantly innovating their products
with the launch of Wii Fit Balance Board, which has
enabled customers to stay fit without having to leave
their home.
Nintendo have also released a range of handheld
consoles. They have aimed to create a unique gaming
experience the DSi, like the DS and the DS Lite before
it, the DSi includes touch screen technology but has a
significantly larger screen and a smaller slimmer body
design. Other features include its built in camera,
music playback with Nintendo DSi sound and the internet.
From playing games to just playing around, the Nintendo
DSi does it all.
The DSI XL handheld is a premium addition to the
Nintendo DS family with a 4.2 inch screen the DSI XL
allows the fun of handheld gaming to be shared with
friends and family.
The fourth major release in the DS product line is the
3DS that brings 3D gaming to the handheld market for the
first time. This revolution has improved top LCD display
to present a glasses-free 3D effect.
Nintendo have
recently announced their new entertainment system ‘Wii
U’, Nintendo's next home console. With a revolutionary
new touch screen controller, precision motion controls,

Sony
The PlayStation 3 (commonly abbreviated PS3) is the
third home video game console produced by Sony Computer
Entertainment, and the successor to the PlayStation 2 as
part of the PlayStation Series.
PlayStation 3 allows players to play online. Other major
features of the console include its robust multimedia
capabilities, connectivity with the PlayStation
portable, and its use of a high-definition optical disc
format, Blu-ray Disc, as its primary storage medium.
Sony have recently launched the PlayStation Move.
PlayStation Move combines advanced motion sensors and
the PlayStation Eye camera to bring you incredible
precision and control for a ground breaking gaming
experience. A whole new world of incredible gameplay is
in your hands as your actions instantly come to life on
screen in glorious high definition and with incredible
accuracy.
The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld game
console manufactured by Sony. Its features include a
large viewing screen, connectivity to the PS2, PS3 and
other PSP’s and the internet. Improved versions have
seen the PSP 3000, PSP GO and PSP E1000.
Sony have also announced their latest edition to the
handheld console market with the New PS Vita (PSV) due
to be released in February 2012. With a stunning new
OLED screen and dual analogue sticks, PS Vita is every
gamers dream come true. PS Vita features a unique rear
touch pad, along with a front touchscreen, one camera on
its front and one on its rear, as well as three motion
sensors, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and an
electronic compass.
Microsoft
The Xbox 360 is the second video games console produced
by Microsoft. The integrated Xbox Live service allows
players to compete online and download content such as
arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, and
movies.
Microsoft have also launched the Kinect
Sensor which has taken a whole new perspective in the
gaming industry as the player now becomes the
controller. Controller-free gaming means full body play.
Kinect responds to how you move, kick, wave, jump you
already know how to play. Now it’s time to get off the
